Innerdance Process for Healing Deep Trauma
From our blog | 18 December 2024
I feel privileged to have supported a few women over the last year who have gone through some sort of trauma in their lives; be it through:
- Sexual abuse
- Physical or emotional abuse
- Phycological trauma
- Infertility issues
- Attachment or dependency
- Inability to let go of a situation or event
The Innerdance process allows me to work intuitively with music, sound and bodywork to support the individual in a healing, unraveling or transformation.
The music I choose is very intuitive and often changes and evolves as the session is unfolding; allowing me to create the exact environment of sound healing that my Higher Guidance is attempting to show me in every moment.
Creating a symphony through music, live instruments and my voice – the potential is infinite!
Today I held a session where the lady shared with me.
“It felt like there were 14 of you in the room. I couldn’t understand how you could be in that corner but then in the other corner at the same time!”
I laughed. It was not the first time I have heard this.
She shared that she expected this “big release” to take place as she came in with so much pent-up emotions, yet the release was soft, gentle and at a point – all of that energy dissolved… Like water.
Some sessions are like that; some can be very intense with a lot of movement, crying, and deep surrendering. Some can be blissful awakenings, with a sense of Remembrance of all that is. Very often the Innerdance takes us into a space beyond time.
What I am witnessing now is how effective this process is for unraveling trauma, letting go of deep complex issues and allowing a new softer self to emerge despite these “difficult’ circumstances we face.
We are here to learn, to take these challenges in our lives and transform them. The more graceful that process can be, the easier it is on our body and our Spirit.
I love this work, and I look forward to seeing it travel into the places it was meant to, including many parts of Africa.
